Absorption – What Form of Breast Enhancing Herbs is Best?

Herbal breast enlargement is the most popular method for growing bigger breasts naturally. Only problem – there are so many options to choose from when going herbal. There are tablets and capsules as well as liquid extracts, lotions, soaps and teas. With so many options for taking herbs, what is the difference? Is one absorbed by the body better than the other? Are any a total waste? How do you get the most out of your breast enhancing herbs?

There are many factors that go into the absorption of a product but below are a few general guidelines for the various ways one can take breast enhancing herbs.

Herbal Pills/Capsules/Tablets

Herbal pills are created by drying the herbs and grinding them into a fine powder. The powder is then pressed into tablets or filled into capsules. Herbal pills may contain additional ingredients like fillers, binders and preservatives.

It is said that only about 3-20% of the active ingredients in a capsule or tablet are absorbed by the body. The reason for the low percentage of absorption is that when herbal pills are taken, the product goes on a long journey through the digestive tract and is processed by the liver leading to majority of it being passed through the body as waste.

It is recommended that you take the pills on an empty stomach for maximum absorption, unless otherwise directed. If there is a sublingual option for the pill, that would be best. These are generally tablets that are dissolved under your tongue. The benefit of taking it sublingually is that the product basically has a direct route to the bloodstream from under the tongue and gets absorbed by the body faster.  It also bypasses the digestive tract.

Herbal Liquid Extracts

Liquid extracts are created by soaking fresh or dried herbs in liquid, usually a mix of water and alcohol, for a certain amount of time. (That is the quick answer. The process of making extracts is beyond this post).

It is said that the body absorbs about 98% of active ingredients in liquid extracts. Liquid extracts have many benefits including being fresher, more potent and do not contain extra ingredients like fillers and binders. Another benefit is their shelf life. While other forms of herbs have a shelf life from a few months to a year or two, liquid extracts have a shelf life of 5 years plus.

Mix the extract(s) with water or juice and slowly sip on it. Do not use boiling water. You may want to hold some of your drink in your mouth for a few seconds, specifically under the tongue for sublingual absorption. You won’t want to place the undiluted extracts directly under the tongue though as there may be a burning sensation due to the alcohol, plus it will probably taste really, really bad.

Topicals – Lotions/Creams/Soaps

Topicals are those items that are placed on the skin and enter the body through the skin barrier. There are many factors that affect the rate of absorption when it comes to topicals. One of them is molecular size. The smaller the molecule, the easier it enters the cell membrane.

Another factor for absorption is where on the skin the topical is applied. Some areas of the skin, specifically the softer, thinner areas like the lips, inner wrists and breasts absorb topicals better than areas like the soles of the feet where the skin is generally thicker.

The rate of absorption for topicals can vary greatly but it is believed that the active ingredients in topicals can be absorbed up to 60%.

The downside to using topicals is that generally the amount and potency of the active ingredient present in the topical is low. So while you might get up to 60% absorbency with a topical, it may only contain 4% of the active ingredient all together. In which case, it is still better to take an herbal pill, which has a higher percentage of active ingredients, even though absorption rates are low.

Apply topicals after a shower as your skin will be softer and your pores with be open. You can also use a heating pad or hot towel on your breasts before massaging with a breast enlargement cream or boobie batter for maximum absorption.
